Confidentiality
Confidentiality is the foundation of therapy. What you share in our sessions stays between us, within the limits set by professional ethics and the law. This page explains those limits plainly.
Last updated: October 2026.
What stays private
The content of our sessions, the fact that you are a client, and anything you tell me are kept confidential. I don't discuss your case with anyone without your consent, except in the situations described below.
The limits
I may have to set confidentiality aside only when there is a serious risk of harm to you or to someone else, when a child or vulnerable person may be at risk, or when the law requires it. Wherever possible, I'll talk this through with you first.
Notes and records
I keep brief, secure notes to support our work. They are stored privately and are not shared.
Supervision
Like all ethical practitioners, I discuss my work in professional supervision to keep its quality high. Supervision is itself confidential, and your identity is protected.
Not an emergency service
This practice isn't a crisis service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 112 (Georgia and across the EU). In Georgia you can also reach the Psychological Aid Hotline on 116 123 — free and confidential, 24/7.
